Im condsidering swapping my auto tranny out for a manual. I was looking for advice and help on doing and tips from people who have none this.

 

I have thought of doing the same thing a time or two but most people do six speed to auto swaps..

 

Every thread I have read on this subject, I have never seen anyone chime in who has done it. What is involved other than the actual swap, what needs to be done as far as the electronics are concerned. A lot of people say that Smarty can send you a program that will reflash your computer. What needs to be done to make everything work properly. I wish we could find a detailed write up. High Impact Transmission and Gear had a swap package for the MV5600, but no more. The best idea I have come up with is to buy a totaled truck and swap over the computer and all, but that is more trouble than I want or need. I have also invested to much into my truck to ditch it and get a new one, but it might be an option I guess.

 

I wanna swap my 05 auto to a manual, I know someone has done this, Im into mine too much to trade it or buy a manual so that is NOT AN option. Just need to figure out what all needs to be done as far as the Electrical stuff go with the engine and all that I know what to do with the tranny swap thats the easy part., I just need help with the wiring of the 05 stuff I heard that it is involved with the 05??? I dont know Anyone know?

 

I thought about possiby putting an auto in mine and I ended up trading my truck with a guy I met on here. Much better idea. Worked out well.
