Transmission juming around trying to find a gear

First of all let me say "HI". I'm new to DTR web site and looking forward to some interesting reading and hoping to learn a thing or two.
zmock8,
Don't know for sure if it will work for your truck or not, but my '99ram 3500 was doing the same thing. I did a TPS reset and that cured my problem.

Thanks wreedCTD,
The TPS reset cured my problem almost 5 months ago. I was telling zmock8 what I did to cure my problem but you are right, the dirty battery connections will cause our trucks to do some weird things.

...and if you do get it done under warrenty, and your milage is showing it is about time for tranny service, have them do it at the same time. My tranny service only cost me the cost of the filter since they did it at the same time as the TSB.

The 2nd gen autos have a whole different bag of problems. Incidently, your TPS reset did not fix the problem, just covered up the symptoms for a bit.

Well think what you want. The reset was done almost 6 months ago. Fact is, I have not had a problem since, so, (and I really don't mean to insult or upset anyone here) but it doesn't really matter what you think as long as I get the positive results I'm getting, But then on the other hand, if you are that presumptive to tell me what has or hasn't worked for me, then "if the shoe fits, then wear it".

Some more info for you, the shuttle shift on the 05+ trucks is the result of an electronic controlled throttle pressure servo and a program that is not very good at adapting.
On a stock truck changing the governor solenoid and pressure sensor will usually fix it. If not, a couple Sonnax valves in the VB and a line pressure tweak will do the job.
On a truck that has a power adder its a little harder. The best fix so far is DTT's Shift Enhanser if the VB mods don't do it or cause problems with codes. Yes, too many VB mods and pressure tweaks will cause the newer trucks to throw codes and just generally not work right.
Yes mobill228, I presume to tell you what works and what doesn't cuz I been there, done that.
