transfer case shift motor FUBARRED

Guys, Anybody got a spare motor to shift on the transfer case. I can't always get 4 hi and if I do then I can't always get back...if you have everything I need to get to 4wd with a manual lever and it will work...I'd rather that....Help!!! Kerry

I thought I remember reading it was virtually impossible to go from electric to manual due to the case design. Rockauto has reman units for $88

Hey thanks....I found a $114 Dorman part....no rebuild.....found some good prices on unit bearings also...They wanted $350 for a rebuild motor here...yikes, Kerry

when i traded in my last 05 for this one that was the one and only thing i hated was the elect TC shifter, the manual atleast you know its in, ive had problems with mine doing the same, even had it back to the dealer.

I had mine replaced under warranty at about 2,500 miles.

Hopefully you'll be good to go with the new unit. I read somewhere here, that you can't directly convert an electric design to the manual, as the whole transfer case is different.

Got stuck the other day and had to use 4wd so I clicked the switch and it worked perfect...came out easy also...I've used it a dozen times since...glitch in the works I think. Kerry
