Transfer case selector?

ok after doing some research on this subject i still have a couple questions.
this is what my trucks doing
put it in 4 high and it flashes, wont do anything
put it in 4 low and it goes in but takes a long time to go back into 2WD
sometimes when you put it in 4low and then go to 4high it goes in.

So im guessing theres a servo/selector motor in the transfer case that is going bad?
how much of a pain are these to change, and about what do they cost to replace?

06 mega cab 4x4 5 speed manual 74,000 miles

thanks guys

I assume you are talking about an electric 4x4 selector?

Are you rolling about 2-3 mph while you change the selector?

i believe to switch between low range and high range you should be stopped. but i you said that you've already tried that as well....it could be going out. is there some sort of adjustment you can make on those servos?

this makes me glad that mine had the lever on the floor.

Yeah ive tryed everything... man I miss my transfer case shifter on the floor my 2000 had!

I have 74K miles so i guess its time for a Tcase flush anyway... would love some input on the servo motor though!

thanks guys
