Any kind of ATF+4 oil can be ran in the T-Case, say Amsoil Synthetic?

Yup. I never get these questions really. If I buy by the quart, which I rarely do, I just buy a case.

Most of the oil I get, I just buy in 5 gal pails. Way easy to deal with and cheaper as well.

Mine held right at 3 quarts when I changed it out to Amsoil ATF. But the actual rule of thumb IS "when it runs out the hole it's correctly filled". Same applies to the standard tranny.

i didnt want to be sitting on my driveway with a half full transfer case and no way to go to the store to get more...

That's why you just need to buy it by the case. Then you will have some on hand next time around as well.

How often are you guys changing your T-Case fluid?

I changed mine when I bought the truck in June it had 60,000 on it. The oil was black. (Probably the 1st time that it was changed). I changed it again the other day at 130,000 miles and yep it was real black... I guess I should change it more often then every 70,000 miles...

Maybe someone can chime some info in on this.

From what I understand the fluid in the T-Case is only beeing "used" when 4wd is engaged?
