Trans. cooler ?

I've got a 04.5 2500 with higher than I'd like to have transmission temps when I'm plowing. Any of you guys know of a tranny cooler kit in addition to the factory or maybe a fan for the cooler that's already there? Thanks

I've tried to look for a auxiliary trans cooler before and could not find one for my 48re, the only thing I did was change to a bigger trans pan, the extra oil capacity help bring down the trans temps a little.

Daily driving I'm 160, plowing snow I'm around 200 and driving around with the blade up I can hit 240. The sensor is in the side of the tranny just above the pan in one of the OEM ports.

Turn the A/C on and turn the temp **** to warm. This will make your fan kick on and bring the temps down. I got stuck in traffic for two hours the other day in the snow and I noticed the temps rising while I sat there forever. i did what I just told you and my temps came way down.

Also try running with the plow lower. I have the BOSS v-plow and if I drive with it all the way up my temps do come up. So I drop it down abit and my temps drop. With it up can hear the clutch fan kick on and the overhead outside temp reads WAY high, drop the plow and watch the overhead come down.

Carrying the plow lower definately helps, but I've got a 9' X-Blad, it's huge and I can't get the plow low enough to keep as cool as I like without it plowing someone else's route! Scrapes rear nice though, I'm really startin to like all this torque!

That is a huge plow for your truck. Have you weighed the truck and axles yet. I am wondering how over you are. I was thinking of a plow on a 2003 Quad cab, with the diesel but on Western's quickmatch only gave a 7 1/2 medium duty and I don't remember seeing any plow that were ok on Fisher's website.

I just peeked on Fisher's website, I guess you may not be that bad depending on your truck config.
