Tranny Repair Options

I brought my truck to a reputable tranny shop for an oil leak coming out of inspection plate and to have them check a shudder in extremely slow speeds (under 3mph) They called me in today and said it looks like the leak is either coming from the TC or the pump. (NOTE** I have an HTS Valve body**) And they are not sure where the shudder could be coming from. They gave me 3 options:

1. Pull tranny and replace TC with there own (PDQ) and fix whatever is leaking

2. They pull trany and I provide my own TC and they fix whatever is leaking

3. Rebuild tranny because they are worried the shudder may be inside it?

I am thinking I am going to go with a Goerend lifetime warranty TC. What other upgrades should I get along with it? I really cant afford to replace my whole tranny, but am I stupid not to?

Any other comments/suggestions?
