If it were my truck I'd rebuild with ATS stuff, check out there websight You can get a complete rebuild installed for $5500. Called stage 4. Then youed have a trans that will make the allison look sick. For a start you have 34 sq,in. of clutch serfice on your 48re torque conn. and the ATS torque conn. has 117 sq, in. The whole stage 4 rebuild will be upgraded like that, pluss lockup in all 4 gears.

IT's SITTING IN THE JUNK YARD !!!!! NOW I'M A HAPPY OWNER OF A STAGE 5 TRANNY W/TRIPLE LOCK CONVERTER AND A COMMANDER FROM ATS. THE DEALER SHIP REFUSED TO ADMIT TO OVER FILLING THE TRANNY AND WITH NO WAY TO PROVE IT ON THE WORK ORDER IT COST ME $6410.18 INSTALLED.

Thumbs up

got 7k on the tranny and it is a world of difference over the stock. it will pulls a WHOLE lot better. my fuel mileage has went up now 22 empty and 14 loaded from 15 empty and 8.5-9 loaded. and i can control when to TC locks up. and you sure fill it shift!!!!!! i'm starting to like my DODGE again

the price was a little hard to get over but i made the right choice!!!!!!!!!

I just cant figure out why dodge dont build thier trannies like the afteramrket does or make the heavy duty, a heavy duty? most of us buy these truck to pull with. after driving the truck with this tranny i'd be afraid to be pulling with the stocker.

Great news that the ATS is working well. My question is about the original transmission problem. Was the transmission damaged beyond repair because of two extra quarts of ATF?

ATS didn't want the old tranny for the case to make another ATS tranny? That's one heck of a core charge isn't it? Glad yours is working great!

there is not a core charge on my invoice.

they told me that the amount of load i carry and the fact that the tranny was over filled caused it to fail. 1st 2nd and 3rd was gone they said and the tc was toast.

but i now have a 100816 on the the OLD 04. and the tranny doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
