I just had my tranny light come on today, I wont be able to call the dealer until monday, just looking for some thoughts as to what is going on. Light is solid, 43,000 miles on 05 truck, been using the four wheel drive on snowy roads alot lately, transfer case seems a bit nosier than normal, but nothing alarming, no shifting problems, tranny fluid is fine. So any thoughts?

 

Have you checked to see if any codes are showing, you know cycle the key a couple or three times to read them where the odometer is located, if any. Then maybe someone can tell you what the code relates too. Justa thought!

Code is P0514, thanks for the help.

 

You may have already done some searching but the code PO514 relates to battery temp sensor voltage too low. Did you try cycling the key any more after you found the PO514 code to see if any other codes came up.

514 is erronious .....there is a flash to correct that.

.....and I guess I'm lost. What "trans light" are you seeing?

 

I assuming he means the temp too high light for the auto tranny.
