Tranny leak at inspection plate.....

My 48re is slowly dripping tranny fluid from the inspection plate. I pulled the plate and there is a tiny bit of fluid in there. This isn't normal, right? What could be the cause? Leaking seal or something?

Mines doing the same thing as well, I'm thinking the torque converter seal is leaking. Just got done doing my front crank seal, next is my rear main seal and converter seal. I got 110000 on the truck.

I got 24k on mine and it leaks from the inspection plate and the trans joint where it bolts together.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
An occasional drip is not a leak. Lots of these units show some wetness in indiacted area. Could be oil getting past vent, seep to lube the sipes on hub seal, and more.
