Tranny issues
03 here with a 48re auto. Got into my truck this morning for a drive and the **** thing will not shift in overdrive at all. All other gears shift fine but will not go into OD. Fluids are fine and messed with the OD button to no avail. Going to have to do an emergency drop at the dealer but wanted to see if I'm missing anything obvious. Forgot to mention I only have 14k on the truck. Tranny issues this early kinda bugs me
Thanks in advance

no od
the govener pressure sensor or solenoid will not cause a loss of od only. any problems with either one will cause you to go into limp mode for example truck taking off in third gear. take it to the dealer and check for a tsb were water gets into pcm connector and cause this problem. they can also check for any codes that might be set in your pcm.

Update
Since I used the night time drop off service I haven't gotten anything from the dealer yet. Called them at Lunch and the told my that an "A" mechanic needs to look at it and probably won't happen today. I'm betting I wont see my trunk until Friday.

Yeah I know I don't drive it much. Got a new job recently that has me commuting on the train verses driving.
Latest update.
So far the dealer I'm using has been good at keeping me informed. Just got a call and said the PCM needs to be replaced. Looking like a possible Thursday return on the truck.

I tried to corner the service manger and get him to say it was the TSB issue but he said this had nothing to do with it. His answer was that the PCM just went bad. I'd love to go at the other dealer about the TSB because of the horrible experience I had with them.

OK hear it my conversation of the day
Me: Did the PCM come in today?
Al: Yes but we can't program it has this been somewhere before us?
Me: Um yeah what's that have to do with it?
Al: They loaded the wrong software on the last one and may have messed up the wiring also
Me: So my truck isn't ready is it?
Al: Nope need another day at least I hope to have it to you tomorow.
Moral of the story
The idiots at the last shop either messed up my truck (which they were a bunch of idoits) or these guys are currently messing it up now
Sigh
The saga continues

Ok so I didn't know that the truck has 2 PCM's. Well they are now both replaced. Guess what still isn't fixed. They supposedly worked with Dodge directly and now have it narrowed down to the overdrive sending unit. It won't be in until Tuesday. The saga continues.
What are the ramifications of having the PCM's replaced in the truck?

S.O.S.
So I got the call this morning from the service mgr. Saying your car is ready come pick it up.
Got in and started driving home got up to about 35 or so on a local street and the alarms in my head started to go off. Still didn't shift into OD. Made sure by getting on a local hwy and lo and behold truck gets to 50 2100 rpms or so and no SHIFT! Called the guy back and says the tech told him it was shifting. Going to go back in the AM and ask for a loaner and only hope.
So far the OD module and both PCM's are changed out.

2 PCM's (Powertrain Control Module). Ones a ECM (Engine Control Module) and the other is a TCM (Trans Control Module).
Starting with 2004's, TCM was integrated into the ECM, giving one PCM.
Did you know that your truck has more computer power than the Appollo Missions to the moon?

So if I'm reading this right and the PCM was replaced and still doesn't work that the tranny wiring harness needs to be replaced?
