Tranny hunting for right gear...any ideas?
My truck is modded as stated below...
Anyways...when taking off with light throttle, tranny hunts for the right gear between 1st-3rd...depending on my speed and throttle input. Now if I'm somewhat aggressive with the throttle (no burn outs or anything), it shifts threw the gears just fine. It doesnt do this when the stock software is loaded up....
Possibly try a different TQ MGMT tune?
Tranny is good as far as I know. Recently had a filter/fluid change along with getting the bands adjusted to spec by my buddy who's a Cummins tech at my local dealership. He said everything looked fine as far as he could tell...
