2004 48re goin to change transmission filter, my question is how much fluid do i put back in after changing the filter

Why dont you start off with adding like 5 or 6 quarts. Then check your dipstick and go from there. Does the 04 have the 48re?

Cool deal, i just thought they put the 48re in the 06's. 47re in the 04's. Im pretty sure they are all the same as far as fluid capacity goes. Hope you got er full.

The 48RE has been in use since early to mid 2003. When I changed my fluid and filter, 5.5 qts filled it up.

'03 SO have teh 47re
03' HO have teh 48re, and any year after that.
