Tow/Haul....on or off
I'd first like to say.............Hello! I am a newbe!!!
Just got my new 2003 2500/HO, 48RE. (no mods yet.....\/$$$$) and I have many questions that I would like to get different opinions on. This seemed like the perfect place. Seems that this forum is upheld by individuals that realy care for their truck as much as I do.
First, I would like to know if the tow/haul button should be used on a daily basis. I drive in city trafffic daily and just about the time I get into 4th, I'm having to hit the brake. Should I keep the "overdrive" off to prevent any long term damage to the tranny?
What do ya'll do?
Thanks

The tranny will take care of itself!
You should take it out of OD if towing in real hilly territory when the trans trys to shift a lot.............other than that leave it in OD.
If it gets hot towing, and is shifting often..... it will shift itself out of OD until it cools.........
All in the manual
