the problem is it will shift back to 4th whether you are on a grade or not, loaded or not.

and for your info geico. no i do not need someone to teach me how to drive. average 40k miles a year towing and not for the last 12 years. do the math

I agree, Bluepp did a great right up for layman terms. I also do not tow and the tranny is shifting like is suppose to but still drives me up a wall thinking it is a 6 spd or something the way it does lock up in 3rd, then shifts to 4th and locks up again. Just feels like another shift everytime it locks up. That is normal. Just feels different then my 1st gen without a lockup TC.
I'm sure with a good load on, that tow/haul mode would work wonders. So yes, these trucks are built for the long haul (no pun intended ) but I still love driving them as a daily driver. 4 months owning, 15,000 miles so far.
