Tone Ring Help

I used the same bolts and torqued them down with the 3lb sledge on my 1/2" drive long handled ratchet..
I also had to back the adjustment off because I was getting too much timing rattle. It seems to have pepped it up a bit. We'll see though. Mileage has not gotten any better....

This mod is new to me and yes, I am resurrecting a 2yr old thread
I understand how to partially remove the S-belt. Since I am a novice, I just want to make sure I am looking at the right spot to do this 'tone ring mod.' Looking at the S-belt diagram, the adjustment is made behind the "6. Crankshaft pulley"?
