tires?going from315 to 285's

I have a G56 with 315 coopers at I get alot better mpg than the stock 265's. I went from 15-18 mpg on the open road to 20-22 mpg. I try to keep the speeds below 65mph.

I have to scratch my head, every one that I know that has the G56 has gotten better mpg with the larger tires despite the increase rolling mass.

I will say that my intown mpg is still the same.

I believe that it comes down to habits more than anything else.

Mine went down a little with 305s

Yep, that does pretty much say it all.

I ran BFG 315s for about 50,000 miles and BFG 285s for about the same. Now I'm running the Toyo 285/75s. They get better mileage than the 315s and are way heavier duty.
