I might be right, or just about right, if I am wrong I know someone will let us know! I believe it is the glow plugs, ignition on triggers them to start, both my 03 and 05 do it

What is a glow plug??? We In Cummins land have a grid heater. LMAO!!!

Yup! Most likely the fuel pump filling the fuel filter canister.

PurNLoud,

Take your brother out and unbolt your grid heater to show him what we are talking about. Nothing like a hands on experience to teach him!!

Mrschendel,

Sorry if we came off harsh!!! Stupid questions are the norm here(usually by me!!! LOL!!)

Thanks for asking as it gave us all a good laugh!

Now go take your intake apart disconnect the battery leads first, and see what we are talking about!! Then you may understand what makes the Cummins is superior in cold weather starting!!! 10 minutes will give you the idea of what makes these things tick.

Should you need my help anytime let me know!!!! I'm the stupid queation guy!! LOL!!
