tic in motor
i have a 03 2500 4x4 it has a tic in the motor it almost sounds like it is nocking but when you rev it up it goes away until it reaches around 2000 rpms i checked for loose injector lines it did not help i dont want to start to take motor apart if it is something a little easier the truck has 125000 miles any ideas

As the injector nozzles self destruct they shed pieces into the cylinders that 'tic' and bounce around. This scores the cylinder walls, pits the pistons, chips the turbo and bends the valves. It's normal right around 130,000 miles....

Ya know I was just going to say this was my 03 engine and he would be ok as long as his truck wasn't an 03... Then I reread his post his truck is and 03. Oh dang 39b you may be in trouble
