Thunk when shifting

My truck seems to clunk abit when going from drive to reverse or back. Is it normal to have some noise or should it be quiet? If not normal what would cause this noise? BTW front wheel bearings lasted 20000KM and are shot again.

The trans was rebuilt at 36000 km the truck just turned over 80000km the thing is it has been doing this thunk thing since I bought the truck at 55000km. So in short the fluid and filter would have been changed at 36000km, unless they change the fluid when the replace the gov/solenoid for the 1-2-1 hunt and that was done at 72000km.

The front drive shaft is new and I checked the rear joints best I could not really sure how to but they seemed tight. I checked the U-joints when I rotated my tires the other day so all 4 tires were off the ground.

How about the carrier bearing?? If that is loose that can also cause a clunk.
