Are these the gauges I need for my new CTD??? - Opinions please

I found this set of Autometer gauges on Ebay for $200...seems like eveything is there that I need except a mounting pod...I would sure appreciate any and all opinions on this set. They seem to be good quality, all inclusive, and priced right...thanks.

I think the pillar mount with 3 gauges gets too busy and obstructs forward vision. Just my
opinion, plus, you loose the grab handle and my wife said no-way to that. Since she gave
me permission to dump $75K+ on RV toys I thought I should grant her the grab handle !!!
LOL

Depending on what lever you are planning on taking your truck to, the 35# boost gauge may be too low. You might want to consider a 50 or 60# boost gauge.

Since I have owned my truck I have only used the grab handle once and that was to see what all the fuss was about with removing it to install gauges. After that experiment, I'm happy that I will not miss the grab handle when I install the gauges.

I dont particularly care for the cubby mount. It is a GREAT idea, but it just isn't functionable. I have a hard enough time moving my eye to my A pillar when under heavy acceleration( this is when you realy need the EGT gauge)....there is no way i'm gonna take time to focus my eyes down on the cubby.

Just my opinion of course

Those are the same gauges i had on my 97. I plan to use the same on this truck. The only problem i had with them was when it was hot outside the boost gauge would stick at zero until i tapped slightly on the gauge, then it would work great.

thats the guages that i have too. i like them. you should know that they have a metal look to them. the are not white faces. I hooked tham up my self with little problems. I dont know if i should have but i tapped the pyro on the down tube past the turbo. (per dealer instructions) plus i was worried about drilling and tapping cast iorn. so i add 200f and call it good. the tap into the ram was eaiser than i thought it would be. good luck
