Is there a drain plug in the torque converter.

If you are going to drill a hole DO NOT do it on the engine side of the converter. The lock up clutch is located there and you will ruin the surface that it rides on. That is the reason they no longer come with drain plugs. You could drill one on the side, and hope you don't hit anything, and hope it doesn't leak. But I wouldn't try it.

When I did mine I just loosened the bolts on the valve body a few turns and let it drain for about an hour. Went through and tightened everything back up and ended up having to put 11 quarts in a tranny that only holds 12 (before the double deep pan). Worked great for me.

I think that little secret is worth some hush money. And don't bother deleting it, cause I printed it out. I'll settle for a case of ATF+4

I think the biggest problem with drilling a hole in the converter is it would make it out of balance. But that's just a theory though. I bet they balance the aftermarket convertor's.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but don't you need some kind of boss to tap into for the threads of the plug you want to install, the converter housing is probably far too thin to tap sucessfully.
Furthermore, as stated earlier, its a crap shoot as far as hitting a blade/fin, and what about the metal chips you'd produce while driling and tapping?
Doesn't seem practical. Can anyone speak to the converter housing thickness?

All in all she does know "some" of the things that the "company needs" but for the most part she is too ignorant to see them. I will admit that the company owns a few pretty nice things that are used more for personal than company purposes. Examples: pressure washer, welder, air compressor. But I do have to say "I" own the hand tools. There is nothing wrong with buying things under the business name to save for tax purposes since they are used to maintain the company's equipment.
