Testing if the EGT temps are right?

Yes it yet another EGT question.

I just installed my pyro guage and was wondering if there is any way to test it to make shure it is reading right.

It is installed pre-turbo right on the manifold on the down pipe right before it goes onto the turbo housing.

There are no mods to speak of only thing on it is a K&N filter and a 4in straight exhaust pipe right from the turbo back no muffler, no cat.

Ex: Running at norm temp for me is 200 @55-60 mph nothing in bed or tow best guess of what it should read.

Something isn't right with the gauge/probe. It will idle higher than 200* and cruise at around 500-800*.

What he said. I usually see between 600-800 during normal driving conditions. I let my truck idle until I see less than 300 before I shut it down. Good luck
