TC Lockup

Have heard it a million ways, exactly how does TC lockup work in the 48RE? In OD, With Tow/Haul on...and Manually shifting from 2 on up.

Thanks, need some clarity here...

I don't really understand this either, I've owned manual tranny vehicles for the last 14 years.

I thought in tow mode it locked in 2nd and 3rd but I cant tell it locking up any earlier, outrageous revs due to loss in TC until it locks in 3rd. Obviously locks in OD right as shift occurs. Never have seen it lock in second like everyone says it should, but then saw someone say you had to put in in 2nd manually? I am trying to find the most efficient way to keep this slushbox moving a heavy load from a stop because it drives me nuts to be running 2500 rpms and going like 20 mph while accelerating. Still not as bad as the 4r100 on my Ford tho.
