I have about 9,000 mi. w/ an auto. Wen my TC locks up I get a weird humming/ mild vib. Only does it when the TC locks up @ 28, 38 or 48 mph depending on which mode I have it in. Dealership says aftermarket muffler is causing it(therefore they won't do anything about it) but I think BS. Anyone else have this prob. I am @ my wits end w/ this situation. TIA.

 

Try another dealer!!! Make sure the Quad ZXT is off though as they amy try to void your warranty.

PS. The quad box does change the shift point a little, at least it did on my 04.5, not sure on your 06 but probably. The humming could be the muffler though, look for something hanging not just right and it could be causing a vibration, Just random thoughts from me........

 

Took off the XZT as soon as I noticed the prob. Def. not associated. Good thought, though. Thanx for the input. Anyone ever have this happen?

 

Like I posted in response to your other tranny problem, you should be using the required ATF+4. Where in Texas are you?
