Question Surging on acceleration

I have a 2003 Dodge with a Banks economind tuner w/pda, monster exhaust, cold air intake w/super scoop, and a high ram. On acceleration I get a stumble that happens several times until I get into 4th gear(automatic). I notice this more when I increase the power level, I am leaning towards a bad fuel pump, any ideas or suggestions?? Thanks for your time.

Have you had a new pump put on yet??? retrofit intank kit??? Usually when the canister mounted pump fails it will block fuel flow and not allow the truck to start.

Check fuel and air filter
Check for codes. Key on, key off 3 times, leave key on on third key on
Check engine oil for consumption or elevation.
Check and clean all of your connections on the banks, add dielectric grease if needed.

Check back with us if you find anything unusual or not.

No the fuel pump is stock, in tank. I didn't notice this until I installed all the banks items. I have replaced the module from banks once when I felt the surging, with no effect on the surging, I guess its more like a stumble than a surge.I replaced the fuel filter when I first started noticing this. The air filter is brand new with the air intake that I installed. I replace the fuel filter at every oil change. I have checked for codes with none being present. It basically uses no oil, in rare cases I may have to add a half a quart between changes(6,000 miles synthetic). When I installed the banks system I used dielectric grease on all plug in connections. Only thing I have not checked is fuel pressure, is there a place to hook up a guage? I am new to the diesel world, all my experience has been in gas motors in the past. Thanks for taking the time to look at my post.

If you have an intank pump, you should be fine, as it was obviously replaced by the dealership at one point in time (03-04.5 model had fuel canister mounted pumps that are prone to failing). I would have toi guess its your box considering it is a pressure box. It may be the culprit. That or your rail pressure sensor, or fca (fuel control actuator) is sticking. Take the Banks off and see if the problem persists.

lift
pump on both my rams 05 & 06.. filter gets cloged up and burnes the lift pump up... bad design. i have 250 gph raptors now .
