Stupid seatbelt annoyer

Is there any way to disable the seatbelt warning on a 2007 Ram? This thing is so annoying. I don't need the truck to warn me about my safety. That is the wifes job. If I'm driving alone I dont need to stinkin seatbelt. Get nader out of my truck!!!

Welcome to DTR. Check your manual. It involves plugging and unplugging the seat belt a number of times. Not sure the specific method but it is outlined in your user manual.

on my 05 the driver and the middle seat belt both have the same buckles so i just plug that in there when im not wearing the belt but i notice on my buddys 07 they have different buckles now... if pluggin and unplugging works that would be good but if not you could go to a junk yard and find a 07 dodge and grab the drivers buckle out of it

that procedure won't work on the newer trucks. just jumper the wires under the seat for the seat belt latch. the light will never come on, you won't get the darn horn honk when the door is open when in reverse and the dinger won't come on reminding you to buckle up.

The only way to go is to get a blade connector(female part, not the flat one), get under your seat, unplug the seat belt play, see the two prongs sticking up on one of the plug ends?!!!! Slide blade connector in there and jump them together. The whole mod takes about one minute and you will kick yourself why you listened to that crap so long!

Yeah, the jumper is the way to go. I did mine a few years ago and it was peace at last! Now if I could figure out how to stop it when the door is open and the radio is on I'd be really happy. If I could find the dinger I'd drill a hole in it.

You can have the dealer disable it with his programming tool (Starscan?), it 's also one of the things you can change with a Bully Dog Triple Dog.

worked on my 07 but the reverse/horn still works. I dont often back up with the door open so its a moot point for me. When i do i hjust keep one foot on the brakes just enough to trigger the brakes lights No horn while back.

I was able to disable this on my '06. I suspect there is still a way to do this in the newer trucks. Only the manual will tell...
