Strange Noise Under Mid Load
My truck is an 04.5 600 with an auto.
It's been happening for a while, but after the third water pump replacement under warranty at under 70,000 miles, I thought maybe the sound would go away (I though maybe coolant was being sprayed onto the exhaust or something), but it didn't. Under high to mid throttle, which is especially noticeable when towing up a hill, my engine makes a strange ticking/leaking sound from the passenger side. I thought it was a possibly an air leak, so I checked all the air and turbo clamps, and found them tight. So what else is there, fuel? It really sounds like a leak of some sort, but it seems to not be air, and I don't have fuel in the engine compartment or oil, so???
I can make the truck make this sound under any mid to high throttle position. It goes away if I let off, or if I floor it. But it's quite loud, and definately not right. Any ideas? Everything is stock under the hood.

Given the information provided, the issue may be a leak between the exhaust manifold and gasket surfaces. I recommend you inspect the manifold and check the torque on the bolts.
