Still 2.5% fuel? What now?

OK, I was getting 1.5% fuel a month or 2 ago for the first time with my truck. I thought it was weird so I changed it and made sure I did not make short trips etc. Drained and tested the oil hot etc. Sample came back in mid June with 2.5%. SO took the truck in, they pulled injectors and tested them. They found them all to be in good condition. One cross over tube was a little loose and worn so they figured thats what caused it. I ran 1500 miles on the next oil change and had the oil tested again. 2.5% fuel this time as well. This is only a 1500 mile run!

Truck is running great, no smoke, no nothing. What could it be? Should I send a sample to a different lab? Thanks!

That is very strange. I would try another place. That will at least rule out one variable.

I don't believe they did a compression test on the truck. I will call and find out. The injectors were tested on a bench that is equipped to handle this type of injector. I am taking to the dealer tomorrow to see what they find when they hook it up and run their diagnostics. Is a compression test something they can do at the dealer? Thanks!

What is your blowby like? How cold is it in Hemet? It could be a ring problem, as a compression test will show. Did they do the injector test shortly after the truck had been driven there, or did they do it the next day?

I'd try filling your fuel filter with some power service, try to flush the injectors. You might have a sticky one.

How much do you drive the truck?

ZERO blow by. ZERO oil useage between changes, They pulled the injectors the next morning after I dropped it off with a cold engine. They were sent to a facility about 20 miles away for testing. I drive the truck every day!
