DTL? I'm assuming daytime running lamps? I'd like to know if they can be turned off. I thought in Canada they were mandatory?

I have an 2006 and was I told there is no setting in the Star Scan features that can be changed to allow you to have both on at the same time.

Just looked at the wiring diagram. Sorry guys, it is all controlled by the TIPM. No turning it off. Only other thing you could do, is wire them up to your own switch. Kind of a pain though!

as far as the fog lights on with high beams tell them to un enable the fog lights.they will still work but the computer thinks they are not there so they wont kill the fogs when you hit the high beams.

Adding Fog Lights

I am adding fog lights. Do I need the starscan tool? Is there anyway to make the fog lights work without it?

no you do not need to go to the dealer to have them enabled just put in the switch and the fog lights and they will work.and they will stay on even with the brights on.

Krazykiller: I tried that. They do not work. Maybe 06' and 07' are different?

The Daytime running lights and foglights with highbeams can be enabled or disabled with a bullydog downloader with version 2.4.1. My signal lights also blink slow after changing some headlight options, but correct themselves after a few starts, generally within a few hours. Hope that helps, maybe you know someone with a bullydog that can do it for you.

Also, I did the high idle mod as per wagonfixin's directions, got the pin from cummins, and grounded. My high idle won't work still when enabled on the bullydog (it says auto only). Is there a flash or something for the computer that makes it work that the dealer has to do?

Why would they care if the fog's are on with the bright's? You only have your brights on when your out by yourself. They would go off when you dim your lights for oncoming traffic--right??

I have a Britebox on my 03 to keep my fog's and dim's on when I hit the bright's.

People actually dim their lights where you are? About half down here don't and have no clue what a turn signal is.Maybe thats why they won't enable high beam and fogs.
