Stalled twice when coming to a stop.

Was pulling horses and twice when slowing down for a stop or turn truck stalled.Restarted easily and set check engine light.Code PO341. I do have a Rokktech modified crank sensor.

Can you reinstall the stocker crank sensor and see if it repeats?

Could it be the stock fuel pump about to croak?

I just said fuel pump only because that seems to be the most common reason for these trucks to stop running momentarily, and then start them up and go on. That is, until the stock LP finally gives up altogether.

My stocker is running fine at 51K but I wouldn't be that surprized to see it die. If it does, I will not be getting the IN TANK pump. I will replace it with aftermarket as I plan to do so anyway to keep up with mods.

I read about the lift pumps but I do know two trucks (03s)that when traded in both had about 150k on them with stock lift pumps and no issues. In fact they had no issues with anything other then a couple of TSBs done early on.

Oh, I am sure there are thousands of trucks out there on the stock lift pumps and run great at 100k +. I may be totally wrong about it being your problem. Your lift pump may be great, that was just a guess as a "possible" failure that made your truck stumble. It seems to be common.

A few months ago a friend and I installed a DiPricol Fuel pressure gauge on mine so I could monitor it since it has become such a common failure.

Hopefully somebody with more knowledge can chime in and help you diagnose it. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

I was wondering the same thing.

I wish somebody else could jump in and try to take a stab at your problem. Any updates?

Have you checked your fuel filter or air filter? Either one could cause your issue if they were too dirty. I would suspect the fuel filter first. On my 03 I was only good for about 10,000 miles on my fuel and air filters before I started noticing problems from them being dirty...
