Squeeky Clutch?

Squeeky Clutch?
Had something interesting happen to me while in Vegas last week. I was off doing a little offroading in my new truck (8200 miles now) when I started to hear some rather loud squeeking when applying my clutch. As I'm no novice with clutches, I recognized it had nothing to do with either the throwout bearing or pilot bearing, but rather the clutch hydraulics and quite possibly the pressure plate.
Had this been one of my old Jeep CJ's, I would have guessed it was the clutch linkage or dry bellcrank bushings.
Environementals could have played a factor. After all, it was rather dusty and the outside temp was hovering around 114F.
Has anybody else had this happen?
Any suggestions?
The truck is an '05 with the G56.

Well I was hoping somebody else had the same issue.
I suspect however, the silence only means the clutch pivot pin needs to be lubed but, wasn't sure. Has anybody removed the pedal plate to lube the clutch pivot?
How bad of a job is it?

wow seem like im not he only one. has anyone else experianced a hard clutch pedel for a moment or 2 then back to normal after you depress it a few times. and when i say hard i mean you have to stand on it to gey it in. but after the inital hard pedel it goes back to normal.

Hate to say it but, good news.... I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I noticed it seems to happen more in hot dry conditions.
Initially, I thought we might be seeing the same type of issue Ford and Chevy owners saw with their ZF trans and DM clutches. On their forums I learned they have problems with some sort of "check ball" in the hydraulic lines causing things to freeze up. However, now I believe its the clutch pedal pivot bushings going dry on us.
I just wish I could find an easy way to take the pedal out and lube up the bushings.
nickleinonen, where exactly are you spraying the grease? The clutch actuating rod goes through the "clutch switch", which is spring loaded. Are you pulling the clutch switch back and spraying lube on the clutch rod as it enters the master cylinder?

Same problem here too. It's been squeaking for a while but it sounds like it's inside. I assumed it's a bushing or something like that. Haven't investigated it yet.

There's another post on this site that talks about changing the clutch slave cyl. to solve the problem but, he didn't have the G56 trans. If my memory is correct, the NV5600 equipped trucks have a different hydraulic system for the clutch. Our '05 mid year and later G56 equipped trucks have the entire clutch hydraulic system as one unit.
I'm trying to avoid going back to the *******. Has anybody with a G56 trans corrected this problem with a hydraulic clutch or slave cylinder change?

i know that sbc sells a upgraded hydro kit for the g56. im looking into it now because every once and a while i will go to push the clutch in and i have to stand on the pedal to get it in. i know it is all hydraulic so that leads me to believe that it is the slave cylider going bad. rather than having it fixed at the dealer under warranty i will just upgrade it and be done.
