Just an update. I removed the belt, checked all pulleys. They all seem fine. The belt looked fine also. I bought a Goodyear gatorback belt and no more squeek.(knock on wood). Not even a cherp when i shut it down.....

Chief,
First thing,
It’s a bit late as the ship has sailed, but do not use that snake oil spray on the belt. It will only pick up dirt and make your belt and pulleys even more contaminated.

Get a spray bottle of water, with truck idling spray clear water onto the belt, if the squealing stops, then it’s the belt. If not, then it may be a bearing.

The noise on my 2005 model would go away with the water spray; noise would come back in a minute or two, as soon as the water dried off.

I bought a new gates gatorback belt, had it installed and no more problems.

The noise I have is when the big guy shuts down, and yes I like that noise,

As one guy said, it just makes noise when a major power plant shuts down!!!!!!

Ford and Chevy diesels will just have to park elsewhere, if they are scared!
