Speed sensor location

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is located on a two wheel drive truck with a manual trans? I have read that the 2wd is on the trans and the 4wd is on the diff. Is this true?

I believe all of the 3rd gens use a hall effect sensor on the rear dif?

ABS sensor is the speed sensor. Rear diff on all trucks.
