slow starting
Maybe you guys could tell me if this sounds normal to you.
When I go out in the morning to start my truck (been plugged in all night) it does the same thing everytime. It'll turn over 5 or 6 times and fire once and not start. Then 5 or 6 more times turn over then start.
When it starts it runs perfectly. No smoke or misses. Then even when its warm and I shut it off, it has to turn over a few times to fire and start. Not like my previous vehicles when you turn the key and it starts right away.
Does this sound normal?
Also, when I turn on my high idle, I can hear a clattering sound from the front of the truck? Not sure what it is but I don't notice it at normal idle speed.
Thanks
Edit: I forgot to mention above that my batteries were new in july this year. Turns over fast..just more than I'm used to with my gas vehicles.

bump ...anyone?
Also, when I turn my key to on position I can't hear the pump. Problem is I've never heard what it sounds like on this truck so not sure what I'm listening for.
Is it a pretty easily heard sound like a humming or whirring sound? Or clicking?
Thanks

LP is in the tank. In a quiet area you can hear it on most trucks. You may need to get your ear near the pump module to hear it. If you turn the key to run, the LP will only run for about a second. If you bump the starter (don't start the engine) and leave the key in run, the LP should run for longer (20-25 sec.) This will give you time to poke your head into the rear wheel well and listen.
Does the truck ever stumble or die when you are driving? If the LP is bad the truck will usually have these symptoms, especially at high fuel demand.
