Here is my detup

Here is the final. It's been inline for the past two weeks and all seems to be A-OK. I do like the first filter being the Baldwin BF1259. However with the truck being a 2wd, it hangs lower than I particularly care for. Haven't found a equivalent shorter one. Thanks Carl and John for the suggestions.

I'm using water separator, Wix 33439 (usafilterstore.com, $10.67), which is about 1 1/8" shorter than your BF 1259. Just a thought.

Thanks Guys!

This thread is just chuck full of useful info, very helpful to me. I am having to replace the entire filtration system on a Ford 8000 dump truck - that set for way too long. It has a giant canister for fuel/water separator, that was supposed to incorporate engine coolant to warm fuel as well.

Darn thing was rust-gutted, and the fuel tank itself has over an inch of rust/sludge/crud in the bottom. Nasty job cleaning that our but finally got it done though bottom drain port. The pickup tube had evidently pinholed sometime prior and was abandoned, fuel now picks up from a low side port on front end of the tank - not optimum, but it worked. I have been trying to get parts found (that all MATCH_ to put in spin-on filtration and water (crud) separation, this thread supplied all the numbers I needed, INCLUDING web sources to find it all in one place. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/forums/images/smilies/roll.gif

Again, DTR folks rule!

Read this entire blog for required info and let me know if you need any additional info. Also, carl48 is a very good source.

John, I have read Carl48 post but I have one question. I can not figure out what the 1/4 inch bolt is supposed to do that he said you drill through the back seat floor board and match drill through the angle mount is for. I figured the bolts from the seat that secured the angle mount would be sufficient enough to hold the filters. Is it for more stabilization or extra security?
Hey thanks for the repies and interest.
