I took mine out and there was a slight but noticable differance in noise. I like it, and saved the parts if I ever wanted to put it back in, even tho with my trucks age and milage I dont really worry about the dealer too much

 

Took mine out, and can really notice the difference on the highway when I ease into the throttle. It seems like the kinda mod you would notice more when its gone. As if you drove without it for a few days, then put it back in.

FWIW, my dad noticed the change in pitch the first time I drove it up his driveway after I took it out, when he was on the patio reading. It does seem like something people on the street would hear better than me. I also notice more of a wooosh like sound after I let off of the throttle now that the ring is out.

I'd do it again. 5 min job to take out. Cant imagine it would take much longer to put back in if it needs to go to the dealer...
