Finally got the shudders while towing under control. Dealer installed a 5/16" plate above the carrier assembly. After several tests at different thicknesses, we settled on that for the permanent plate. I had a chance today to hook up and take the condo for a ride. The shuddering is almost gone - - only when really pushing it in first and second do I feel a slight quiver in the driveline. When doing a normal take off there is no shake at all. Whatever shake now just feels like a whole bunch of torque telling the whole mess to get its tail moving.
Only took 15 months to get it figured out. Now, we can tackle the rattle at around 1100 to 1400 rpms. Hopefully that will not take as long - - - hey, what am I saying - - I have been complaining about that just as long as the shuddering, not just as loud.

I am really tickled to get that thing fixed. I was thinking how smooth the Ghost is starting to run now that she has some towing miles on her. That engine just purrs when you hook it up. She likes it. Can't wait to head out this summer.
Heading over your way for a few days in a couple weeks. Probably take the fiver over and find someplace to hang out.

But, now that you mention it, maybe my other rattle could be my teeth rattling around. NAAAWWWW, not with my smoooooooth riding baby, no way.
