Should I be able to hear my stock lift pump?
I just noticed this morning that I could hear my stock pump when I turned the truck on and was waiting for the grid heater to cycle. It stopped once it primed the system. I drove it and when i started it again no noise. I am at a 1/4 tank, but never noticed it before. It is the original pump with 158,000 miles on it, but I am hoping it isn't going. If it does go do the Airdog or Raptor systems require any alterations to the tank? My '02 it just clipped to the top of the tank. Thanks!

answer is yes. you can hear it. it should pump for a little bit then shut off, after you start the truck, the pump will start back on
