shifting problems.....yay

I have an 03 dodge cummins stock tranny with intake exhaust and predator tune...so the other day I went to Walmart the other day and I notice that my truck wasn't shift out of 1 st or 2nd with out letting off the throttle...so I look up what could cause it and said to replace my seleniod and pressure sensor. I might be think it time for adjustments? Idk what else to do...all my fuses are good I get no check engine no codes either...any ideas? I am new to trannys and diesel motors

I'm guessing it's highly probable your solenoid / sensor needs replacing.

The same sort of thing happened to me in June. The most obvious symptom was when turning onto a street from another and it would do a grab-grab-grab on the tires as the truck is more easily catching 3rd.

I never did see a check-engine light in my case, in the two times the code was present. The first was cleared at the dealership, and then came back after the transmission began acting funny. I was checking for codes frequently those days.

Just the P1756 code would show up with the three turns of the ignition method. After a few starts it stopped showing up - well that is, according to the dealership - could be they're lying (more likely than not) ... but if they're not, if I'd not been looking, I'd have never seen it.

As for my truck's transmission - it has been A-OK in the three months since the parts (and valve-body filter) were replaced. Night and Day difference.

Try to manually shift it from 1st to 2nd etc. If it shifts properly it is your Governor solenoid and transducer on the valve body.

You say you have replace all of them, did you replace them with Factory parts or with the Borg Warner HD Pressure Solenoid service kit? http://www.cascadetransmissionparts....olenoidhd.aspx

You might want to try 48RE Solenoid Service Kit before you spend some real money, just a suggestion. Maybe something like this-> http://www.cascadetransmissionparts....kit2003up.aspx

I bought a kit a replace the solenoids I have done anything with the valve body yet. U talked to dodge and they think that there is something stuck in the valve body valve. Could that be it?
