My 05 shifts into 3'd more easily than my 03 did when I really step on it at highway speeds.(Like a passing gear.) You had to really step on it with the 03. It's not a problem- just different. With my brother's 03 SO you really could'nt get it to shift into 3'd, which wasn't good if you wanted to pass quickly.

Your getting what I call a dog hunting. I take it your have a 4 speed auto 47 or 48re. A good tranny shop will be able to setup your valve body to stop this. It is caused by spring pressure/gov. pressure sensor(gps). The gps says one thing an the spring load does another. It's a pain I know mine (48re) did that from the day I bought it untill I had mine custom built for the job I was doing. When mine was doing it I had to either power through it or just slow down one. Hope this will help you.
