Settings for Rancho 9000

Just got a set of Rancho 9000 shocks. Going to install them today. For those of you who are using this shock what do you have them set at?
Thanks

I asked the same question a while back and nobody chimed in. Maybe you will have better luck.

There are realy no set settings. You just have to play with the settings to find what you like. On my rockcrawler I started at the middle setting and worked from there.

I have the rears on 1 and the front on 4 but I need to lower the front setting. I raise the rear setting when loaded. Craig

I run the front on 7 all the time. The rear on 4 empty and then raise rear stiffness depending on the bed load or tow weight.

Front is a little stiff, but it is a heavy duty 4x4 truck.

Thanks, for the replies. I installed the shocks today, and I set the fronts on 3 and the rear's also on 3. I have to take a drive tomorrow and see how she feels.

I have the fronts at 5 and the rears at 3 empty. Bump the rear to 7 when I tow my enclosed trailer.....seems to work pretty well

With the old 5-position Rancho 9000s, I run at 3 front/2 rear when unloaded and 4 front/5 rear when towing.

Like I stated in my first post, there is no set setting, it is what you feel comfortable with.

Side note, keep your receipts, Ranchos have a lifetime warranty. As long as the cans do not have any dents, any dealer will replace them. On my rock crawler I got three of them replaced after bashing in the rocks for six years, no questions asked.

I just recently (last Sat) installed a full set of the Rancho RS 9000X shocks on my truck and I did notice a difference in the ride myself, I like em. The stock shocks were still ok but I'm glad I opted for the 9000X. I have the front set on (5) and the rear set at (3), I'm currently testing those settings and that seems to be about right for my truck so far running empty.

Also replaced the stock steering stabalizer with a Rancho 5000.

With the in-cab controller you can just noodle with the little **** going down the freeway, instant feedback, pretty slick. I'm usually 5-6 in front and 3-4 in back. Really depends on your load, and road.
