Seems like it is struggleing
My truck only has 500 miles on it and it seems to do real good up to about 12 or 1300 rpm, but it seems like it struggles to get past that. You really have to shower down on it to make it go, when your at wide open throttle is really scats, but it just seems like it is holding back...and suggestions?

You modified it - talk with those suppliers.
Just remember, if it's a problem caused by those modifications, D-C corp has no reason to stand behind your truck.

My 06 and 04 both did it till they got some miles on em. My 06 turned over a new leaf at 4500 miles. It seemed to really start to run better and start to get better mpg.

Yeah, I've noticed that after a long drive of pulling my boat which only weighs about 6k the truck just sounds and drives smoother. My truck really did get horrible mileage the first couple of tanks. 12 or 13 mpg with mostly highway miles.

On my 04.5, I've had a trailer of some sort hooked up to her for probably 30,000miles of the 41,000miles I've put on her!!! On the rare occasion that I'm running empty on the highway; if I keep the speed at 65mph, I'll get about 21-22mpg!!! And that is hand calculated everyone!!!
These motors are made to "WORK" people!!!!! In order for everything to "seat and break in" properly, these motors, IMHO, need to tow a (insert colorful adjective) weight!!!!! For those of you that don't tow, you have no idea how well these trucks run after a long, hard pull!!!! Don't mean to preach, but that's my .02 cents!!!
