Sad Day........

Well I was forced to trade in my baby for an 08 1500 SLT QC Hemi last night. I originally leased the diesel for my business and last year at the end of the lease I wasn't in the financial position to pay it off. So I extended the lease by one year. Long story short I went 18,000 over on miles and had a trailer crumple my rear quarter panel of the bed. Between those two things and the down turn of the diesel market I was very sideways in my truck. So with the incentives Dodge was offering for current leases I had to take the opportunity to get out while I could. I already miss my diesel but this truck is going to cheaper to operate for the next couple of years until I can get another real truck. Everytime I drove past a diesel today it made me cringe. One positive about the new truck though is the 5spd Auto is sooooo much more refined than the 48re.....at least the one I had anyway....

I agree, except for the plastic intercooler and lack of OD lockout. Other than that it was by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. I've already noticed that the 1500 isn't as smooth or quiet which is undoubtedly due to the stupid 20" rims they put on them Oh well, as I said this truck will get my family through this slow time in our economy and when things pick back up again I can hopefully get another diesel.

I have a 04.5 which is the same thing as the 05 and i have the full aluminum intercooler. My only complaint is where the apps sensor is located, but i will have that moved one of these days.
