Runs Rough

I have an H.O and it has a rough spot between 2050 and 2300 rpms. This is about 70 - 74 mph. The engine runs smooth below and above the rpm listed above. Does anyone else have this rough spot or should I worry?

Re:Runs Rough

Mine doesn't have the rough spot you mentioned. There was a rpm that I would get a little resistance to, but it has gone away with miles, and that was about 2300 rpm. It is now smooth up to about 2550, where I get a little resistance, but I'm sure that will go away when I start running it up to 2700 - 2800 soon (I only have 3800 miles on the truck) as it breaks-in just a little more.

Re:Runs Rough

Mine does not run rough. Rather it suffers from the occassional, no throttle response. Since it is an electric throttle, there is no direct link. I occassionally get zip when I push the pedal. Let off and it comes on as normal.

Of course the ******* cant replicate it, so I am hallucinating, but it is happening more and more. I guess they'll fix it whenI am stranded in the middle of lower no where. >

Re:Runs Rough

You know, rolling down the highway one evening a week ago I noticed what I would call a slight hesitation at that speed. I haven't really noticed it again, and when it was happening it reminded me of a slug of water going thru. I was controlling the speed with the the foot and not the cruise control.

I haven't worried about it. I'll keep an eye on it.

BTW, ODO just rolled on 10k this weekend.

Might take a look at my thread, search for 'no throttle response'. My 03 was acting similar to yours.
