rpm's at idle???
I have read some posts about trucks surging but none that really fit what mine did to me tonight. I went to a fast food joint to grab some burgers for me and the wife. Locked my truck up running in the parking lot. When I came back, as I started to open the door I heard my rpm's go up enough to really notice for about 3 seconds. I got in the truck and headed home. I was only maybe 2 miles from home. It did it again at a stop sign on the way. I would guess and only guess it went up to about 1400 rpm for 3 seconds both times. Truck has been running fine and did the rest of the way home too. No codes set off using the on off 3 times method. Truck has about 47k on it. Any ideas???

First items I would check is the APPS (throttle position sensor) and the pressure valve in the CP3 injection pump. APPS could be sending an erroneous signal or the pressure valve is sticking.
