i hope i am not beating a dead horse with his question , cause i have hit the search button to try to solve my problem .. but it is a little different then a few other ..
o.k . it is getting a little colder here at night .. but not that cold were there is frost or anything ... anyway my problem is when i go out to start my truck in the morning , or if my truck has sit for a few days and not been run .. it start right away and idles really rough puking white smoke for about 4-5 seconds and then clears right up and runs like a top .. and once warm ed up it start perfect ???
any ideas ????

also take it to the dealer and have your ECM updated to the latest software available for your truck.

the rail pressure code your getting is pretty common if you're running a box that increases fuel rail pressure. i had it myself but was able to clear it after several attempts and it has not come back. the starting problem you are experiencing sounds exactly like the one that i had until i got a re-flash about 3 weeks ago and have'nt had the problem since. i don't think this version of the new software has been available that long so if you were re-flashed several years ago it might no longer be the latest version for your truck.
