Retrofit Exhaust Brake on an '03 Cummins
Having burned up my brakes in the mountains of Wyoming, I'm thinking of having exhaust brakes added to my '03 Ram 2500 w/ Cummins. The truck is strictly stock w/ auto tranny.
Is this feasible? Any ideas on cost, (I can't do myself)? Does this void waranty? I purchased 100K bumper to bumper.
Thanks.

it can be done, and many here have i'll bet.. with an aftermarket transmission controller [or manual switch] to maintain lockup on the TC clutch, it will be effective. as for warrenty, i don't know.. [dodge offically does not allow for the brake with slushbox in pre 06 models]

I have the Jacobs on my '03 6 speed stick and would suggest the EB for towing. Look at the new Pacbrake PRXB for better 1500 RPM braking. You will need some software to keep the TC clutch locked. BD Power, and others have the necessary packages for your auto. Check with their webs for more info.
