replacing injectors on a 2006

I have everything off and ready to remove the injectors but these don't pull out of the head like my old 2000 did.

Can someone tell me how to get them out of the head?

I have already removed the lines, injector tubes, rocker arms and the hold down bolts.

The specs on how tight to tighten all the bolts to would be very helpful too.

Thanks

I used a plastic cap off one of my new injectors, put on the old ones, and grabbed them with pliers and pried right out.

Doing my best to keep all dirt and everything out of the motor. I'm working long hours again and no shop.
I don't have new injectors yet trying to get these tested. Money is always very short sense I got devoriced. Unfortunately I want have the money to replace all of them just what is bad.
Thanks everyone

They should pop right out. I put a pry bar on mine and they came out easily. Good luck, hope you find out what's wrong.

DragonSlayer are you putting the pry bar under the hold down bracket on the injector or where?

Yeah, they were not hard to pop out. Maybe about 20 lbs of pressure? Just enough to release the O-rings. Snap On has a tool that will pull them, but I was replacing all 6 with my engine rebuild.

I forgot to tell you that I used my standard Mac pry bar with the angled end. It's about 15" long.

I just use a large, flat bladed screwdriver under the mounting flange, ply and twist at the same time. Eventually it pops right out, be careful and patient.

Thanks, for the help I'm going to try to pull them out of the head today.
I've been working so much that I haven't had time to even look at it sense last weekend.

as far as being clean, the main thing is that you want to keep any debris outta the injector and feed tube. you can ruin an injector just by getting a small piece of crap in it
