what is a good replacement lift pump that doesnt cost over $400? My truck is stock I don't care about the latest chip or programmer I just want it to run. I see a lot of after market pumps that are in line or work as a secondary pump, but just want a good in tank replacement

I put a Raptor 150 on ,went on fairly easy ,lifetime warranty,and can be changed if it does easily. Cost me 389 at the DTR store.

 

I just got my replacement pump from Geno's last night. It replaces the one on the fuel canister. Not an in tank pump. $179.00. It will live in the toolbox until the original pump dies. At some point, I want a FASS or AirDog. Budget wise for now, this is the best we can do. At least I won't be stranded on the side of the road now.

 

I put an airtex from Oriellys on and it idles around 18-20psi. runs 12-14psi. Stock 02. Cost 175.00 out the door.

just put the retro kit from dodge 364.00 plus tax
and thats the intank kit

 

The stock Dodge in tank pump isn't the cats meow. Mine ran about 8 psi at idle and I could pull it down stock!

I'm running a Glacier Walbro setup. Its nice and holds 20 psi, but Richard doesn't sell the Walbro setup anymore due to some rules that Walbro plays by. They require you to sell their whole line of parts and Richard only needs one.


If I were doing a pump right now, I'd probably get the Airdog on the DTR store. Its a little more than 400, but its a great pump and you get better filtration. With these trucks you can't go wrong at all with better filtration!

If I didn't want to do additional filtration, I'd get a Raptor.

 

You must've got a bad one. Mine runs 10psi at idle, 9psi going down the road and it holds 7psi at WOT. That's going through a 2um filter after the stock 7um filter.

Sure, but I can't imagine why you'd want to. I'm considering adding an on demand inline pump as a backup and in case I ever get a tuner and start adding more fuel. But it's not really necessary unless you're talking about increased fueling because the CP3 can draw it's own fuel through the in-tank pump if the tank pump fails anyway.

 

My filter mounted pump just died on me. I don't want to put the one in the tank either. I also don't want to mess around with extra regulators and such. From what I have been able to dig up is that cummins is also no longer supplying the stock pumps. However, an outfit called alliant power is making one. The part number is AP4089602. Same as the cummins PN just add the AP in fornt. What I haev fond is that they run about $250. I am going to make a few calls in the morning to see what I can find out. They have dealers all over the place.

 

my truck has already been converted to the intake pump after the stock pump died the warranty kicked in and dealer replaced it. the reason I want to know if the in line pump will draw threw the in tank is if i put an air dog or like on do i need to remove the intank pump?
